Sony Pictures has released both the domestic and international Bloodshot trailers, which preview the comic book adaptation opening in theaters on February 21, 2020. Starring Vin Diesel, the film is based on the Eisner and Harvey Award-nominated Valiant Comics title.
Bloodshot is directed by Dave S. F. Wilson and also stars Guy Pearce (The Hurt Locker), Eiza Gonzalez (Baby Driver), Sam Heughan (Outlander), Lamorne Morris (New Girl), Toby Kebbell (Kong: Skull Island), and Talulah Riley (Westworld). The screenplay was written by Eric Heisserer (Arrival) and Jeff Wadlow (Kick-Ass 2).
Vin Diesel stars as Ray Garrison, a soldier recently killed in action and brought back to life as the superhero Bloodshot by the RST corporation. With an army of nanotechnology in his veins, he’s an unstoppable force – stronger than ever and able to heal instantly. But in controlling his body, the company has sway over his mind and memories, too. Now, Ray doesn’t know what’s real and what’s not – but he’s on a mission to find out.
The character was created in 1992 for Valiant Comics by Kevin VanHook, Bob Layton and Don Perlin.
The producers are Neal H. Moritz, Toby Jaffe, Dinesh Shamdasani and Vin Diesel. The executive producers include Dan Mintz, Louis G. Friedman, Yu Dong, Jeffrey Chan, Rita LeBlanc, Buddy Patrick, and Matthew Vaughn.
