Star Wars Marathon Coming to AMC Theatres for Rise of Skywalker

-

Want to watch Star Wars movies non-stop for 27 hours and 21 minutes? AMC Theatres has announced a Star Wars Marathon that will begin on Wednesday, December 18, will show all nine Star Wars saga films, and will allow you to see Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker one hour earlier than most at 5 p.m. local time on December 19.

The theater chain’s website reads: “On Wednesday, December 18, ahead of it’s official opening on December 20, fans can be among the first to see Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker by attending Star Wars Marathon. Experience all nine Star Wars saga films in one epic day. Fans will receive a commemorative pin and blanket, and a concession offer. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will start at 5pm local time, one hour earlier than regular public show times.”

Lucasfilm and director J.J. Abrams join forces once again to take viewers on an epic journey to a galaxy far, far away with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the riveting conclusion of the seminal Skywalker saga, where new legends will be born and the final battle for freedom is yet to come.

Abrams co-wrote the screenplay with Chris Terrio. The film stars Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Anthony Daniels, Naomi Ackie, Domhnall Gleeson, Richard E. Grant, Lupita Nyong’o, Keri Russell, Joonas Suotamo, Kelly Marie Tran, and Billy Dee Williams, who will reprise his role as Lando Calrissian.

Composer John Williams, who has scored every chapter in the Star Wars saga since 1977’s A New Hope, returns to a galaxy far, far away with The Rise of Skywalker, opening in theaters on December 20, 2019.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is produced by Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Michelle Rejwan, and executive produced by Callum Greene and Jason McGatlin.
