Brandon Routh Returns in Superman Photo from Crisis on Infinite Earths

-

The CW today released the first Superman photo from the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover that features the return of Brandon Routh as the Man of Steel. In the Superman photo, for the DC’s Legends of Tomorrow episode of the crossover, Routh is wearing a costume that is inspired by Alex Ross’ Kingdom Come design.

Routh will be appearing both as his DC’s Legends of Tomorrow character Ray Palmer/The Atom and Superman Returns‘ Clark Kent in the crossover.

The cast for Crisis on Infinite Earths continues to grow. Just yesterday it was announced that former Birds of Prey star Ashley Scott will reprise her role as Huntress, while Supernatural‘s Osric Chau will appear as scientist Ryan Choi, who picks up the Atom mantle from Ray Palmer.

It was previously announced that Tyler Hoechlin will be back as the Arrowverse’s Superman, and Tom Welling and Erica Durance will return as Smallville‘s Clark Kent and Lois Lane.

The CW will present Crisis on Infinite Earths across five different episodes of the network’s hit superhero series and spanning two quarters (December 2019 and January 2020). Supergirl will kick things off on Sunday, December 8, and will be followed by Batwoman on Monday, December 9, and The Flash on Tuesday, December 10. Then the Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow crossover episodes will air on Tuesday, January 14, 2020.
