The Tom McCarthy movie features a screenplay by Thomas Bidegain, Noé Debré, McCarthy, Marcus Hinchey. Damon is joined by co-stars Academy Award nominee Abigail Breslin and Camille Cottin. Steve Golin, Tom McCarthy, Jonathan King, and Liza Chasin are producing.

Universal Pictures International will release in select international markets.

McCarthy’s credits also include The Station Agent, The Visitor, and Win Win. Spotlight won the Academy Award for Best Picture, and won McCarthy the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, as well as a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Director.

McCarthy also co-wrote the Pixar film Up with Bob Peterson and Pete Docter, for which they received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay.
