Yesterday star Himesh Patel has joined the cast of Christopher Nolan’s Tenet in one of the final roles to be cast, according to Variety. He joins a cast that includes John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, with Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh.
Filming is currently taking place for the July 17, 2020 release. Warner Bros. Pictures released the first teaser in theaters with Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, but the studio has yet to officially bring it online.
Nolan is directing from his own original screenplay, utilizing a mixture of IMAX and 70mm film to bring the story to the screen. Tenet, which is being filmed on location across seven countries, is an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage.
Nolan’s behind-the-scenes creative team includes director of photography Hoyte van Hoytema, production designer Nathan Crowley, editor Jennifer Lame, costume designer Jeffrey Kurland, and visual effects supervisor Andrew Jackson. The score is being composed by Ludwig Göransson.
Christopher Nolan’s last movie, Dunkirk, was released in theaters on July 21, 2017. The movie, written, directed, and produced by Nolan, was shot on IMAX 65 mm and 65 mm large-format film stock. It grossed nearly $527 million worldwide.
