Marvel Studios Director of Visual Development & Concept Artist Andy Park and Disney have shared new Black Widow, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and WandaVision concept art that debuted at D23 Expo!
Black Widow is opening in theaters on May 1, 2020 and is the first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film is directed by Cate Shortland and stars Scarlett Johansson, reprising her role of Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, as well as newcomers to the MCU David Harbour as Alexei the Red Guardian, Florence Pugh as Yelena, O-T Fagbenle as Mason, and Rachel Weisz as Melina.
It’s been previously said that Black Widow will be an internationally-set story centering on Natasha Romanoff, a spy and assassin who grew up being trained by the KGB before breaking from their grasp and becoming an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Avenger.
Taskmaster concept art was revealed at Comic-Con last month.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is set to debut on Disney+ in the fall of 2020. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier pairs up two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most popular heroes — Sam Wilson aka The Falcon and Bucky Barnes (with a new haircut) aka The Winter Soldier — in a series of action-filled adventures as they fight together against evil after the events of Avengers: Endgame.
Anthony Mackie (The Falcon), Sebastian Stan (The Winter Soldier), Daniel Brühl (Baron Zemo), Emily VanCamp (Sharon Carter), and Wyatt Russell (John Walker) will star.
The Disney+ series will be directed by Kari Skogland, the Emmy-nominated, BAFTA award-winning director, showrunner and CEO of Mad Rabbit. Her credits include episodes of The Handmaid’s Tale, NOS4A2, The Rook, The Loudest Voice, The Walking Dead and much more. Malcolm Spellman is writing the series featuring the two superheroes.
WandaVision is coming to Disney+ in the spring of 2021. Paul Bettany returns as Vision and Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff—two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives who begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.
Also starring in the series are Kat Dennings and Randall Park who will reprise their roles from Thor and Ant-Man and The Wasp, Teyonah Parris is playing a grown-up version of Monica Rambeau, and Kathryn Hahn has been cast as a new character in the series. Matt Shakman will direct the series written by Jac Schaeffer. WandaVision will blend the style of classic sitcoms with Marvel Cinematic Universe. WandaVision premieres on Disney+ in 2021.
