Ad Astra, Gemini Man and Rambo: Last Blood Ratings Revealed

The Ad AstraGemini Man and Rambo: Last Blood ratings have been revealed, and they are what was expected.

First up is director James Gray’s sci-film film Ad Astra, which opens in theaters on September 20. The movie has received a rating of PG-13 by the MPAA for “some violence and bloody images, and for brief strong language.”

Brad Pitt stars as astronaut Roy McBride, who travels to the outer edges of the solar system to find his missing father and unravel a mystery that threatens the survival of our planet. His journey will uncover secrets that challenge the nature of human existence and our place in the cosmos.

The 20th Century Fox also stars Tommy Lee Jones, Ruth Negga, Liv Tyler, and Donald Sutherland.

Also opening in theaters on September 20 is Lionsgate‘s Rambo: Last Blood, which has been rated R, much like the previous installments in the franchise. The news comes from Sylvester Stallone himself, though we don’t have the reason for the rating yet.

In the film, directed by Adrian Grunberg, John Rambo must confront his past and unearth his ruthless combat skills to exact revenge in a final mission. A deadly journey of vengeance, Rambo: Last Blood marks the last chapter of the legendary series.

The movie also stars Paz Vega, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Adrianna Barraza, Yvette Monreal, Genie Kim aka Yenah Han, Joaquin Cosio, and Oscar Jaenada.

And last but not least is Gemini Man (Paramount Pictures), opening in theaters on October 11. The film has been rated PG-13 for “violence and action throughout, and brief strong language.”

Gemini Man is an innovative action-thriller starring Will Smith (Disney’s Aladdin, Suicide Squad) as Henry Brogan, an elite assassin, who is suddenly targeted and pursued by a mysterious young operative that seemingly can predict his every move.

The film is directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Ang Lee and also stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Clive Owen, and Benedict Wong.
