Aladdin Digital and Blu-ray Release Dates Announced

Disney has announced the Aladdin Digital and Blu-ray release dates and also announced that the original classic will be available on 4K Ultra HD for the first time as well. The live-action movie will be available on Digital August 27th (pre-order) and then on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray on September 10th.

Likewise, the original animated film will be available on Digital August 27th and on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray on September 10th.


Made for about $183 million, the new film has grossed $990.7 million at the worldwide box office since opening in theaters on May 24th and is still in the Top 10 at the box office.

The Aladdin Digital release will include special features such as: A Friend Like Genie; Aladdin’s Video Journal: A New Fantastic Point Of View; Deleted Song – “Desert Moon”; Exclusive – “Speechless”: Creating A New Song For Jasmine; Guy Ritchie: A Cinematic Genie; deleted scenes; and bloopers.

The 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and Digital edition includes: A Friend Like Genie; Aladdin’s Video Journal: A New Fantastic Point Of View; Deleted Song – “Desert Moon”; Guy Ritchie: A Cinematic Genie; Exclusive Included With Digital Code – “Speechless”: Creating A New Song For Jasmine; deleted scenes; and bloopers. The Blu-ray, DVD and Digital edition includes these same features.

A thrilling and vibrant live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated classic, Aladdin is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future.

Directed by Guy Ritchie, who brings his singular flair for fast-paced, visceral action to the fictitious port city of Agrabah, Aladdin is written by John August and Ritchie based on Disney’s Aladdin. The film stars Will Smith as the Genie; Mena Massoud as Aladdin; Naomi Scott as Jasmine; Marwan Kenzari as Jafar; Alan Tudyk as the parrot Iago; Navid Negahban as the Sultan; Nasim Pedrad as Dalia; Billy Magnussen as Prince Anders; and Numan Acar as Hakim.
