Marvel Studios’ Eternals Concept Art Reveals the Celestials

In addition to the Black Widow art featuring Taskmaster, it looks like Marvel Studios also debuted concept art for The Eternals at the San Diego Comic-Con featuring a first look at Celestials in the November 6 2020 release.

Created by Jack Kirby, the Eternals first appeared in The Eternals #1 (July 1976). The Eternals were created by the Celestials, who did experiments on human beings millions of years ago. They also created the Deviants, who, as the name suggests, are the villains of the story. The Eternals and the Deviants have battled each other throughout history. The Eternals can breed with humans and are like them in appearance.

At Comic-Con, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed the movie will be directed by Chloé Zhao. The Eternals will star Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh and Angelina Jolie as Thena.

Chloe Zhao’s credits include The Rider and Songs My Brothers Taught Me. The script is by Matthew and Ryan Firpo. Kevin Feige is set to produce the film.
