Rick and Morty Season 4 Clip Featuring Taika Waititi’s Glootie

-

Adult Swim revealed the first clip from Rick and Morty Season 4 at the San Diego Comic-Con today! The clip features an alien named Glootie, voiced by Taika Waititi, who appears to have helped Jerry and Morty launch an app that they now want taken down. But Glootie doesn’t seem to be too cooperative, for some reason.

Rick and Morty Season 4 will premiere in November 2019. Created by Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland, Rick and Morty completed its third season in October 2017.

The critically-acclaimed animated series that follows a sociopathic genius scientist who drags his inherently timid grandson on insanely dangerous adventures across the universe, has become a multi-platform sensation not just on television, but across digital, gaming, livestreaming, retail, and fan experiences.

Rick and Morty was the #1 comedy across all of television in 2017 with millennials. In May of 2018, Adult Swim announced it had made a long-term overall deal with Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland that will include 70 new episodes.

Rick and Morty stars Justin Roiland (Adventure Time), Sarah Chalke (Scrubs), Chris Parnell (Saturday Night Live), and Spencer Grammer (Greek). The show is officially described as follows:

After missing for nearly 20 years, Rick Sanchez (Justin Roiland) suddenly arrives at his daughter Beth’s (Sarah Chalke) doorstep looking to move in with her and her family. Beth welcomes him with open arms, but her unremarkable husband Jerry (Chris Parnell) isn’t too thrilled about the tearful reunion as Rick’s arrival serves to shake things up quite a bit around the household. Rick converts the garage into his personal laboratory and gets to work on all sorts of dangerous sci-fi gadgets and contraptions. That wouldn’t be so bad if not for the fact that Rick continues to involve his grandchildren Morty (Roiland) and Summer (Spencer Grammer) in his insane adventures.
