CBS is developing a reboot of The Lincoln Lawyer, according to THR. The TV series will be written and executive produced by iconic television creator David E. Kelley, and is based on Michael Connelly’s best-selling novel The Lincoln Lawyer.
The series, which has gotten a production commitment, is the story of Mickey Haller who runs a law firm from the back of his Lincoln town car. Michael Connelly will executive produce along with Ross Fineman. The show comes to us from A+E Studios and CBS TV Studios. This is the first CBS production commitment for the 2019-2020 season.
The hit novel was turned into a feature film back in 2011 starring Matthew McConaughey, Marisa Tomei, Ryan Phillippe and William H. Macy by Lionsgate. The novel was released in 2005. Connelly also has his work on television right now with the Amazon Studios series Bosch.
David E. Kelley is known for shows like Chicago Hope, L.A. Law, Picket Fences, Ally McBeal, Boston Public, The Practice and Boston Legal.
