Yellowstone Renewed for Season 3 by Paramount Network

Paramount Networks has renewed Yellowstone for a third season, according to Deadline. In addition to the series return, Josh Holloway (Lost) is joining the cast of the series. The role is recurring.

Starring Oscar winner Kevin CostnerYellowstone is co-created by Oscar-nominated screenwriter Taylor Sheridan (Wind RiverHell or High WaterSicario), and John Linson. The cast for Yellowstone Season Two also includes Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Jefferson White, and Gil Birmingham.

During its nine-episode first season, Yellowstone garnered more than 20 million digital views. The show’s fanbase grew throughout the season, with four of the last five episodes hitting series-high ratings in its demographic (P25-54) and season one’s finale outperforming the premiere, with 5.4 million viewers (P2+) tuning in.

The series stars Costner as John Dutton, who controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States. Amid shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect – the ranch is in constant conflict with those it borders – an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park.

The Paramount Network original drama is co-produced and co-financed by 101 Studios. Executive producers for Yellowstone are John Linson, Art Linson, Taylor Sheridan, Kevin Costner and David C. Glasser.
