Marcia Gay Harden (Into the Wild, Pollock) has joined the cast of the film Pink Skies Ahead, according to THR. She’ll join Henry Winkler, Rosa Salazar, Jessica Barden, Lewis Pullman and Devon Bostick in the upcoming film. Pink Skies Ahead is the first film from Stampede. It is based on the essay “No Real Danger” from Kelly Oxford’s second book When You Find Out the World is Against You.
Production will begin production next week in Los Angeles. According to the site, the film “tells the story of a wild young woman, Winona, whose life unravels after dropping out of college, moving in with her parents and being diagnosed with an anxiety disorder.” Harden will play the mother of the main character, played by Barden.
The film will be produced by Greg Silverman, Lisa Zambri, Greg Gilreath and Adam Hendricks. It will be executive produced by Stampede’s Gideon Yu, Zac Locke and Chris Bosco.
Marcia Gay Harden is known for her work in films like Mystic River, The Mist, Into the Wild and Pollock. She’ll be seen next in Netflix’s Point Blank and the National Geographic drama Barkskins.
