Final Fantasy VII Remake Release Date and Trailer Revealed

-

Last night, during Final Fantasy VII – A Symphonic Reunion, the first concert dedicated entirely to Final Fantasy VII, Square Enix made the surprise announcement that the Final Fantasy VII Remake release date has been set for PlayStation 4 on March 3, 2020.

A new trailer for the game was revealed as well and can be watched below. Also showcased was some new key art, which features the game’s legendary villain, Sephiroth, set against a burning Midgar skyline. You can view the key art underneath the trailer.

More about Final Fantasy VII Remake will be revealed during Square Enix Live E3 2019, which you can watch here starting at 6 p.m. Pacific Time today.

In Final Fantasy VII, the world has fallen under the dominion of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a sinister corporation that has monopolized the planet’s very life force as Mako energy. In the urban megalopolis of Midgar, an anti-Shinra rebel group calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their campaign of resistance.

Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the rebels, unaware that he will be drawn into an epic battle for the fate of the planet, while having to come to terms with his own lost past.
