Sony Pictures has announced new release dates for four of the studio’s upcoming projects today. You can learn more about the Cinderella, FatherhoodEscape Room 2, and Uncharted release dates below.

With the sequel to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle now wrapped, Kevin Hart will next film Fatherhood for Sony. The film will open in theaters on April 3, 2020. Directed by Paul Weitz, the movie co-stars Alfre Woodard and is an adaptation of the Matt Logelin memoir Two Kisses For Maddy: A Memoir of Loss & Love.

With the first film grossing an impressive $155.5 million worldwide on a budget of just $9 million, Sony Pictures had scheduled the Escape Room 2 for April 17, 2020. The movie has now been pushed back four months to August 14, 2020. Adam Robitel (Insidious: The Last Key) is returning to direct from a script by Bragi F. Schut.

Next up, Sony is mapping out the Uncharted release for December 18, 2020. Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane) will direct Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Far From HomeAvengers: Endgame) in the movie. Based on the Naughty Dog video games for PlayStation consoles, the film is said to take its basis from the sequence in Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception in which the young Nathan “Nate” Drake (Holland) encounters his partner Victor Sullivan for the first time.

The Uncharted movie will be a co-production between Arad and Atlas Entertainment Production, and will be produced by Charles Roven, Alex Gartner, and Ari and Avi Arad. Jonathan Rosenberg and Mark Walker wrote the script.

And Sony is planning a February 5, 2021 release date for Cinderella, starring Cuban-American singer and songwriter Camila Cabello. Kay Cannon will direct the film, which is said to be a modern re-imagining of the traditional tale of the orphaned girl with an evil step-mother with a musical bent thrown in for good measure.

The idea for the movie came from James Corden, who is producing the film with Leo Pearlman, his partner at Fulwell 73 (The Class of ’92, Bros: After the Screaming Stops, Carpool Karaoke).
