Meet the Cast of Child’s Play in a New Featurette

Orion Pictures has revealed a new featurette in which you get to meet the cast of Child’s Play, opening in theaters on June 21st. Go behind the scenes with Aubrey Plaza (Ingrid Goes WestLegionParks and Recreation), Brian Tyree Henry (AtlantaWidows, If Beale Street Could Talk) and Gabriel Bateman (Lights OutAmerican Gothic) to get a look at the making of the movie.

The cast of Child’s Play also includes Mark Hamill as Chucky. The contemporary re-imagining of the 1988 horror classic is directed by Lars Klevberg (Polaroid) from a script by Tyler Burton Smith (Kung FuryQuantum Break video game) that is based on the original motion picture. Bear McCreary is composing the score.

Child’s Play follows Karen (Aubrey Plaza), a single mother who gifts her son Andy (Gabriel Bateman) a Buddi doll, unaware of its more sinister nature.

David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith produce under their KatzSmith Productions banner. The duo produced last year’s smash hit remake of It, the highest-grossing horror film of all time bringing in $700 million at the global box office. Aaron Schmidt and Chris Ferguson executive produce.

Child’s Play, the 1988 film, went on to gross $44 million worldwide on a $9 million budget and spawned one of the most recognizable and successful horror characters of all time with its psychotic killer doll, Chucky.
