We Unbox DC Cover Girls: Mera by Joelle Jones

The latest in our series of unboxing videos is the brand new DC Cover Girls: Mera by Joelle Jones statue. Myself and Jeffrey Henderson check out the latest in the series. Mera was sculpted by Jack Matthews, and it’s limited to 5,000 pieces. Mera is 11.25″ tall, and retails for $125 on You can check out our unboxing video below.

Here is the description of the statue: “Walking on water has never seemed as graceful or glamorous as it does inzJoëlle Jones’ latest entry in the Cover Girls line! Mera is crafted in an elegant, commanding pose atop a flowing splash of water, which, even in the choppiest of seas, could not hope to compete with the waves of her trademark red locks.”

Mera as a character first appeared in 1963 in Aquaman #11 and was created by Jack Miller and Nick Cardy. She’s appeared in the animated Justice LeagueBatman: The Brave and the BoldSmallville, Young Justice and of course, portrayed by Amber Heard in Justice League and the recent solo film Aquaman. She recently appeared in the middle grade graphic novel Mera: Tidebreaker by New York Times bestselling author Danielle Paige (Dorothy Must Die, Stealing Snow series).
