Men in Black: International China Release Set for June 14

-

Sony Pictures has set the Men in Black: International China release date for June 14, the studio said today. That means the film will release in China the same day it does in North America, which could lead to a big global debut.

The movie is officially described as follows: “The Men in Black have always protected the Earth from the scum of the universe. In this new adventure, they tackle their biggest, most global threat to date: a mole in the Men in Black organization.”

Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson are reteaming for the film after starring together in Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Endgame, which has already earned over $500 million in China. It will be interesting to see what this might mean for the Men in Black: International China release.

The cast also includes Rebecca Ferguson, Kumail Nanjiani, Rafe Spall, Laurent Bourgeois, Larry Bourgeois, Emma Thompson, and Liam Neeson.

F. Gary Gray (The Fate of the Furious) is directing the film from a script by Matt Holloway and Art Marcum. Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald, who produced the original movies, are back as producers. Steven Spielberg, E. Bennett Walsh, and Barry Sonnenfeld are the executive producers.
