Swamp Thing Reveal Released by DC Universe

-

The DC Universe streaming service is countering some negative reports today with the release of the official Swamp Thing reveal, which you can watch below. According to the reports, Warner Bros. Television has cut the original 13-episode order for the series to 10 after the production experienced creative differences.

In Swamp Thing, when CDC researcher Abby Arcane (Crystal Reed) returns to her childhood home of Houma, Louisiana, in order to investigate a deadly swamp-borne virus, she develops a surprising bond with scientist Alec Holland – only to have him tragically taken from her.

But as powerful forces descend on Houma, intent on exploiting the swamp’s mysterious properties for their own purposes, Abby will discover that the swamp holds mystical secrets, both horrifying and wondrous – and the potential love of her life may not be dead after all.

James Wan, Mark Verheiden, Gary Dauberman, Michael Clear and Len Wiseman are executive producers of Swamp Thing, which is based on characters from DC which were created by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson. Rob Hackett is co-producer. The series is produced by Atomic Monster in association with Warner Bros. Television. Verheiden & Dauberman are writing the first episode and Len Wiseman is set to direct.

The show is still scheduled to launch on DC Universe on May 31.
