At Star Wars Celebration in Chicago today, writer and executive producer Jon Favreau, director and executive producer Dave Filoni, and executive producer Kathleen Kennedy hosted a panel discussion on the upcoming Disney+ series The Mandalorian. They also revealed new The Mandalorian photos, which you can view in the gallery below.
Joining them on stage were Pedro Pascal (“The Mandalorian”), Gina Carano (“Cara Dune”) and Carl Weathers (“Greef”) as they teased an early look at the first ever live-action Star Wars series.
Additional episodic directors include Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok).
Ludwig Göransson, an acclaimed composer and record producer, will write the score for the series. Göransson has composed soundtracks for films like Black Panther, Creed, Creed II, Venom, and Fruitvale Station, as well as TV series like Community and New Girl.
The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal (Narcos) in the title role as a lone Mandalorian gunfighter, alongside Gina Carano (Deadpool), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Emily Swallow (Supernatural), Carl Weathers (Predator), Omid Abtahi (American Gods), Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man), and Nick Nolte (Warrior).
The highly-anticipated series will be exclusive to The Walt Disney Company’s upcoming streaming service Disney+, which will launch in the U.S. on November 12, 2019 at $6.99 per month. The service will offer fans of all ages a new way to experience the content from the company’s entertainment brands, including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic, and will be available on connected TV and mobile devices.
