Johnson Wraps Jumanji Atlanta Filming and Teases New Locations

-

Dwayne Johnson has announced on his Instagram account that the Atlanta filming for the new Jumanji movie has wrapped, and in his post he reveals some more locations you can expect!

“That’s a wrap on our Atlanta portion of production,” he says. “A huge THANK YOU to our hard working & talented Georgia film crew. Once again, it’s been my pleasure to put in the work with all of you and look forward to our next adventure down the road. Our production train rolls on to shoot in some pretty wild locations – the hot jungles to the icy snow capped mountains and to the blistering desert dunes. Still much work to be done, but we’re making something pretty cool & fun for our audiences around the world this Christmas.”

A little earlier, Johnson also posted an image which gives fans a look at some of the villains the characters will face. In related news, Kevin Hart took to his Instagram account and showed off a new bridge set. You can check out all the posts below.

The returning cast members from Sony Pictures‘ Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle include Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, Ser’Darius Blain, Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman, and Morgan Turner.

The newcomers to the cast include Awkwafina, Danny DeVito and Danny Glover. Character details for the new cast members are being kept under wraps.

Jake Kasdan, who directed the 2017 release that grossed $962.1 million worldwide, is back to direct. The sequel’s script is by Kasdan, Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner. Matt Tolmach is producing the feature along with Johnson’s Seven Bucks and Kasdan.

Jumanji 3, which is still untitled, has been set for a December 13, 2019 release.
