Vin Diesel (Fast & Furious and Guardians of the Galaxy films) took to Instagram and posted a new video from the Avatar sequels set with James Cameron in which the actor says he’s always wanted to work with the filmmaker and that all good things come to those who wait. Check out the video below!

James Cameron started filming the performance capture for the sequels on September 25, 2017. Live-action filming will begin in New Zealand in spring 2019. Avatar: The Way of Water is scheduled to open in theaters on December 18, 2020, and will be followed by Avatar: The Seed Bearer on December 17, 2021. Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Joel David Moore, Dileep Rao, Stephen Lang, Matt Gerald, and Sigourney Weaver are returning for the Avatar sequels. Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Oona Chaplin, Edie Falco, and Brendan Cowell are also on board. The young members of the Sully family are played by Jamie Flatters, Britain Dalton, and Trinity Bliss, while the Metkayina Clan members are played by Bailey Bass, Filip Geljo, and Duane Evans Jr. Jack Champion is playing Javier “Spider” Socorro, a human teenager, born at Hell’s Gate but who prefers his time in the Pandoran rainforest more than the asphalt of Hell’s Gate.

The Avatar sequels will be produced by James Cameron and Jon Landau through their Lightstorm Entertainment. The James Cameron-directed sequels are written by Cameron along with Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, Josh Friedman, and Shane Salerno.

The first Avatar movie remains the highest-grossing film worldwide with $2.7 billion.
