Jessica Henwick to Help Dylan O’Brien with His Monster Problems

Game of ThronesIron Fist, and The Defenders star Jessica Henwick is joining Dylan O’Brien in the post-apocalyptic road movie Monsters Problems, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Paramount Players will release the film, which is described as “a Zombieland road pic crossed with the stylings of a John Hughes teen movie, telling the story of a guy who has to survive a monsterpocalypse in order to be with the girl of his dreams.” Henwick will play the girl, who has a lot more going on than what is initially seen.

Shawn Levy‘s 21 Laps (Stranger Things) has been developing the project since 2012 and has South African director Michael Matthews (Five Fingers for Marseilles) at the helm. Matt Robinson rewrote the Monster Problems script from a previous draft by Brian Duffield.

The trade adds that the movie is in the early stages of production in Australia with Michael Rooker and Arianna Greenblatt also on board.

Jessica Henwick has a role in the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong and is also voicing a character in the Netflix anime, Gods & Heroes.
