Netflix is taking you behind the scenes of The Highwaymen today with a new video you can watch below. Starring Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson, The Highwaymen is launching globally on Netflix on March 29.
The outlaws made headlines. The lawmen made history. From director John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side), The Highwaymen follows the untold true story of the legendary detectives who brought down Bonnie and Clyde. When the full force of the FBI and the latest forensic technology aren’t enough to capture the nation’s most notorious criminals, two former Texas Rangers (Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson) must rely on their gut instincts and old school skills to get the job done.
The cast also includes Academy Award winner Kathy Bates (Disjointed, The Blind Side), John Carroll Lynch (The Founder, American Horror Story), Kim Dickens (Gone Girl, Fear of the Walking Dead), Thomas Mann (Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, Kong: Skull Island), and William Sadler (Power, The Shawshank Redemption, The Mist).
Filmed in Louisiana, the feature film is produced by Casey Silver Productions, with Casey Silver (Godless, Mosaic) serving as producer. The executive producers include Michael Malone, Kevin Costner, Rod Lake, and Woody Harrelson.
The Highwaymen was written by John Fusco (Hidalgo, The Forbidden Kingdom), Academy Award nominee Scott Frank (Godless, Out of Sight, Logan) and John Lee Hancock, who also directed the film.
