The upcoming Danger Girl movie has gotten a director. According to Variety, Jeff Wadlow (Truth or Dare) is set to take the reins on the project, which comes to us from Constantin Film. Wadlow is also set to do some script rewrites on the draft from Umair Aleem. Danger Girl is based on the comic book series created by J. Scott Campbell and Andy Hartnell.
Danger Girl will begin shooting next year. Wadlow is currently working on Fantasy Island for Sony. The comic book series has been around since 1988 and is published by IDW. Still a running series, Danger Girl is the story of Abbey Chase who is part of an all-female spy organization. Alongside fellow spies Sydney Savage, Natalia Kasstle and Sonya Savage, they are searching for destructive items that could be a danger if they are obtained by the Hammer Syndicate. Abbey is known for being a marksman who speaks multiple languages.
Wadlow is known for his work directing films like Never Back Down, Cry Wolf, Kick-Ass 2 and True Memoirs of an International Assassin, as well as co-producing the TV series The Strain.
