WonderCon 2019 Schedule Featuring Dark Phoenix, Warner Bros. & More

WonderCon Anaheim is taking place from Friday, March 29 through Sunday, March 31 at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. The full WonderCon 2019 schedule has been released and below we have highlighted some of the movie, TV, video game, and music panels.

WonderCon Anaheim is the sister show to the San Diego Comic-Con, embracing all the main aspects of SDCC, including comics, movies, TV, animation, the Masquerade, and more.


This year’s WonderCon schedule is as robust and diverse as ever with panels including comics publisher presentations, movie and TV series events, animation, workshops, seminars, and much more.

Legion M: How the Power of Fandom Is Changing Hollywood
Legion M believes that a community of united fans can revolutionize Hollywood, so, they’ve built their entertainment company from the ground up to be owned entirely by fans! You may have heard about their films Colossal (Anne Hathaway), Mandy (Nicolas Cage), and Kevin Smith’s upcoming Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, their TV projects like Evermor and Malice, or their events like Stan Lee’s tribute at the TCL Chinese Theatre and their Sundance Lounge. Hanna Episode 1: Screening
Based on Joe Wright’s acclaimed 2011 film, Amazon Prime Video is thrilled to screen the first episode of Hanna for the WonderCon audience! Raised in total seclusion in the remote woods of Eastern Europe, 15-year-old Hanna (Esme Creed-Miles) has spent her entire young life training to fight those who hunt her and her mercenary father, Erik Heller (Joel Kinnaman). Her survivalist skills are finally tested when she and Erik are separated upon their discovery by a rogue CIA operative, Marissa Wiegler (Mireille Enos), and her team of agents. Hanna has no choice but to embark on a perilous journey alone across Europe as she seeks to reunite with her father and evade-and ultimately take down-the dangerous agents who target them. The series is written and executive produced by David Farr and directed by Sarah Adina-Smith. All eight episodes of Hanna will premiere worldwide on March 29 on Amazon Prime Video.

Reimagining The Twilight Zone for the Modern Audience
The Twilight Zone became a worldwide phenomenon as it used socially conscious storytelling to explore the human condition and culture of the times. Storyboard and comic book artists Shannon Eric Denton (Deadpool, Batman), Roger Robinson (Batman, Halo), Mike Kunkel (Hero Bear, Spider-Man), and Sean Galloway (Spider-Man, Teen Titans) explore the power and potential of visual storytelling across media. The panel will present examples of comics and storyboards used to impact readers and empower cinematography. The panelists will discuss incorporating a dynamic approach to storytelling in both comics and film while clearly defining the differences between the two mediums.
