Netflix Acquires The Red Sea Diving Resort, Starring Chris Evans

Netflix has acquired Gideon Raff’s The Red Sea Diving Resort, starring Chris Evans, from Bron Studios. Netflix has acquired global rights, excluding China.

Inspired by one of the most remarkable true life rescue missions ever,The Red Sea Diving Resort is the incredible story of a group of Mossad agents and brave Ethiopians who in the early ’80s used a deserted holiday retreat in Sudan as a front to smuggle thousands of refugees to Israel. Chris Evans plays Ari Kidron, the Mossad agent who leads the mission together with courageous local Kabede Bimro, played by Michael Kenneth Williams.

The cast also includes Haley Bennett, Alessandro Nivola, Michiel Huisman, Chris Chalk, Greg Kinnear, and Sir Ben Kingsley.

The film was written and directed by Gideon Raff (Homeland). The producers are Aaron L. Gilbert (BRON Studios), Alexandra Milchan (EMJAG), and Gideon Raff (G. Raff Productions). Jason Cloth (Creative Wealth Media) is the executive producer. The film is a BRON Studios, Emjag, G.Raff Productions film in association with Creative Wealth Media.

Netflix will release the film later this year.
