Deal or No Deal Cold Open from SNL and More Skits!

Rachel Brosnahan hosted the first Saturday Night Live of 2019

NBC has released numerous clips from the first Saturday Night Live of 2019, which was hosted by two-time Golden Globe-winning The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan. The show kicked off with the Deal or No Deal Cold Open, in which Steve Harvey (Kenan Thompson) hosts a special episode of the games show where President Trump (Alec Baldwin) fields offers from members of Congress, like Nancy Pelosi (Kate McKinnon), Chuck Schumer (Alex Moffat), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (Melissa Villaseñor) and Maxine Waters (Leslie Jones), to end the government shutdown.

Below, you’ll also find Brosnahan’s New Year’s Monologue, in which she sings about having fun in 2019 but keeps getting reminded of bad news, like the historic government shutdown, Brexit and teachers strikes. Also included are more skits, the full Weekend Update, and the two musical performances by Greta Van Fleet.

James McAvoy will host Saturday Night Live for the first time on January 26. He stars in the upcoming M. Night Shyamalan-directed thriller Glass, which arrives in theaters on January 18.

Multi-platinum recording artist Meek Mill will serve as musical guest. His critically-acclaimed fourth studio album, Championships, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart.

Saturday Night Live is produced in association with Broadway Video. The creator and executive producer is Lorne Michaels.
