We previously learned that Scarlet Witch and Loki TV series were in development for Disney’s upcoming streaming service, but now Variety is reporting that characters Falcon and Winter Soldier are teaming up for a limited series as well.
According to the trade, Malcolm Spellman will write the series featuring the two superheroes. Falcon is played by Anthony Mackie and Winter Soldier is portrayed by Sebastian Stan. They both appeared in the recent Avengers: Infinity War.
Spellman was previously a writer and co-executive producer on the FOX series Empire and wrote the screenplay for the feature film Our Family Wedding.
Each series is expected to include six to eight episodes. Marvel Studios will produce the shows and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige would be involved in the development.
The Disney streaming service, which the company says will cost less than Netflix, is expected to debut in late 2019. Other projects in the works for the service include a\the live-act Star Wars series from Jon Favreau titled The Mandalorian, the return of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, a High School Musical series, and a live-action/CG hybrid Lady and the Tramp.
