Milla Jovovich Reveals Captain Natalie Artemis in Monster Hunter

The movie has been filming north of Cape Town

Milla Jovovich has revealed her character, Captain Natalie Artemis, in the upcoming Monster Hunter movie. “Just a little peek for all the Monster Hunter fans out there who were worried the other day,” she says. “Here is Captain Artemis wearing a ‘slinger’ on her arm. I will also post a pic at some point of some of the incredible MH weapons we’ve recreated for the film.”

You can view both of the new photos below, while the previously-posted set photos can be found by clicking here. Monster Hunter has been filming north of Cape Town at the Atlantis Dunes in South Africa.

The movie is being produced by Constantin Film and has Paul W. S. Anderson, known for the series of Resident Evil films based on Capcom’s games, attached as both writer and director. Monster Hunter  will depict two protagonists who come from different worlds and must cooperate in fighting monsters in order to survive. The cast also includes Ron Perlman, T.I. Harris, Tonya Jaa, and Diego Boneta.

The Monster Hunter series consists of hunting action games that pit players against giant monsters in a beautiful natural environment. Since the first Monster Hunter title made its debut 14 years ago in 2004, the series has attracted a dedicated fan base, and overall grown into a mega-hit, with cumulative sales of the series exceeding 50 million units.

Monster Hunter: World, the latest title in the series, enthralled game players the world over and shipped 10 million units, making it the best-selling title in Capcom history.

The movie is produced by Paul W.S. Anderson and Jeremy Bolt from Impact Pictures, and by Robert Kulzer and Martin Moszkowicz from Constantin Film. Dennis Berardi, head of VFX for the film, also acts as producer.
