The BBC and BBC America have released the first official Doctor Who Series 11 clip, which features Jodie Whittaker’s 13th Time Lord looking for a Doctor. The new season will kick off on BBC America on Sunday, October 7 at 1:45 p.m. ET, at the same time as the premiere in the UK (6:45 p.m. BST). BBC America will air a special encore of the premiere at 8 p.m. ET, which is when the series will regularly air on Sundays.

With a new Doctor (Jodie Whittaker) and new friends Ryan (Tosin Cole), Yasmin (Mandip Gill) and Graham (Bradley Walsh), this eagerly-anticipated first season from new showrunner Chris Chibnall will welcome back fans and invite those who are new to Who. The next era is packed full of action, humor, emotion, and adventures through space and time, starting with the first episode, titled “The Woman Who Fell to Earth.”
In Doctor Who Series 11, Jodie Whittaker will be the Thirteenth Time Lord and is taking over from Peter Capaldi. She is joined in the new series by three regular cast members. Bradley Walsh will star as Graham, Tosin Cole will play Ryan, and Mandip Gill will play Yasmin. Also joining in a returning role is Sharon D Clarke.
Doctor Who Series 11 will be a 10-week run of 50-minute episodes in fall 2018, kicking off with a feature-length hour for the opening launch.
