In related news, LaMonica Garrett (Designated Survivor) has joined the crossover as The Monitor. Mar Novu is an extraterrestrial being of infinite power known as the Monitor. Last week, we learned that Jeremy Davies will play Dr. John Deegan in the crossover. Dr. Deegan is a doctor at Arkham Asylum For the Criminally Insane in Gotham City, but he might just be crazier than the inmates he treats. His machinations will draw Green Arrow, the Flash and Supergirl to Gotham City.
It was previously-announced that Elizabeth Tulloch (Grimm) will play Lois Lane and Cassandra Jean Amell (Stephen Amell’s real-life wife) will portray Nora Fries, the wife of Mr. Freeze.
The crossover will also mark the first appearance of Batwoman, played by Ruby Rose (Orange is the New Black). She will play the role in the Batwoman series in development for the 2019-20 season as well.
As previously-announced, joining Lois Lane in the crossover will be the returning Tyler Hoechlin as Superman.
The crossover starts on Sunday, Dec. 9 with The Flash at 8 p.m., followed by Arrow on Dec. 10 at 8 p.m., and concluding Dec. 11 at the same time with Supergirl. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is not part of the crossover this year.
