Jeremy Davies has been cast in the role of Dr. John Deegan in The CW‘s upcoming three-night Arrowverse crossover event. Dr. Deegan is a doctor at Arkham Asylum For the Criminally Insane in Gotham City, but he might just be crazier than the inmates he treats. His machinations will draw Green Arrow, the Flash and Supergirl to Gotham City.
Jeremy Davies’ credits include Lost, Hannibal, Sleepy Hollow and American Gods. He also played Ritchie Simpson in both NBC’s Constantine series and last year’s Justice League Dark animated movie.
Last week, we learned that Elizabeth Tulloch (Grimm) will play Lois Lane and Cassandra Jean Amell (Stephen Amell’s real-life wife) will portray Nora Fries, the wife of Mr. Freeze, in the crossover.
The crossover will also mark the first appearance of Batwoman, played by Ruby Rose (Orange is the New Black). She will play the role in the Batwoman series in development for the 2019-20 season as well.
As previously-announced, joining Lois Lane in the crossover will be the returning Tyler Hoechlin as Superman.
The crossover starts on Sunday, Dec. 9 with The Flash at 8 p.m., followed by Arrow on Dec. 10 at 8 p.m., and concluding Dec. 11 at the same time with Supergirl. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is not part of the crossover this year.
