Chris Hemsworth (Avengers: Infinity War, Thor: Ragnarok) will star in the action thriller Dhaka for Netflix, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Sam Hargrave, stunt coordinator and stunt double for Captain America actor Chris Evans, will make his directorial debut with the film.
Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 directors Joe and Anthony Russo are producing via their AGBO production company. They also wrote the script for Dhaka.
According to the trade, “the story tells of a weary mercenary named Rake (Hemsworth) who is hired to save the son of a businessman.”
Filming for the project will begin in November and the shoot will continue until March 2019 in India and Indonesia.
Hemsworth is currently filming Men in Black and was recently said to have walked away from Star Trek 4 negotiations. With Dhaka finishing by the end of March, however, Hemsworth is leaving open the possibility of still participating with the latter project.
