Castle Rock Season 2 Ordered by Hulu

Hulu has given the green light to Castle Rock Season 2! The series premiered on the streaming service on July 25. Hulu says the first season marks the most successful launch for a Hulu Original in terms of consumption and reach on the day of its premiere. The series also has the highest view-through rates for a Hulu original in its first and second week since its launch.

When Castle Rock Season 2 will premiere has not been revealed yet. With it being an anthology series, we’ll also have to wait and see if any of the cast members return.

A psychological-horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse, Castle Rock combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland. The fictional Maine town has figured prominently in King’s literary career: Cujo, The Dark Half, IT and Needful Things, as well as novella The Body and numerous short stories such as Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption are either set there or contain references to Castle Rock.

Castle Rock is an original suspense/thriller — a first-of-its-kind reimagining that explores the themes and worlds uniting the entire King canon, while brushing up against some of his most iconic and beloved stories.

The cast includes André Holland as Henry Deaver, Melanie Lynskey as Molly Strand, Sissy Spacek as Ruth Deaver, Bill Skarsgård, Jane Levy as Jackie, and Scott Glenn as Alan Pangborn.

The executive producers are J.J. Abrams, Sam Shaw, Dustin Thomason, Ben Stephenson, Liz Glotzer, Mark Lafferty, and Stephen King.
