We only saw Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury and Cobie Smulders’ Maria Hill briefly in the post-credits scene of Avengers: Infinity War, but it sounds like we’ll see them a lot next year. According to Vulture, Jackson and Smulders will appear in Spider-Man: Far From Home, which is coming to theaters on July 5, 2019.
Before that, we’ll see a digitally de-aged Samuel L. Jackson in Captain Marvel, which hits theaters on March 8, 2019. Will both Nick Fury and Maria Hill reappear in Avengers 4 (May 3, 2019) as well? We’ll have to wait and see.
The Spider-Man: Far From Home cast includes Tom Holland again in the title role, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Marisa Tomei, Jake Gyllenhaal, JB Smoove, Numan Acar, and Michael Keaton.
Jon Watts is directing again from a script by Erik Sommers and Chris McKenna. Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal are producing the film, which is currently shooting in London. The sequel will take Peter Parker to Europe.
Spider-Man: Homecoming opened on in July of 2017 and grossed $880 million worldwide, with $334.2 million coming from North America and $545.9 million from overseas markets.
