Filming for the sixth Terminator movie started last month, but a bearded Arnold Schwarzenegger has now joined the Budapest, Hungary shoot as well. The actor appeared in a video in which he congratulated Fiji Prime Minister Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama, aka Frank Bainimarama, for the Climate Action Pacific Partnership event. The new Terminator movie began shooting in Isleta del Moro, Almería, Spain on June 4, and has since moved on to Origo Film Studios in Budapest, Hungary. Shooting is taking place there for a month before the production heads to America.
The November 15, 2019 release has both Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton returning to their iconic roles as “The Terminator” and “Sarah Connor” from the first two Terminator films. Directed by Tim Miller (Deadpool), the new story will introduce the next generation of characters played by rising stars Mackenzie Davis (Blade Runner 2049, Halt and Catch Fire), Natalia Reyes (Lady, La Vendedora de Rosas), Diego Boneta (Scream Queens, Rock of Ages), and Gabriel Luna (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.)
Produced by James Cameron and David Ellison, the upcoming Terminator movie will be a direct sequel to Cameron’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day. The Skydance movie will be distributed domestically by Paramount Pictures and internationally by 20th Century Fox. Tencent Pictures will distribute the film in China.
