Flight of the Conchords: Live at the London Apollo Debuting October 6

Drew Michael's first HBO special was also announced

HBO announced today that Flight of the Conchords: Live at the London Apollo will debut on Saturday, October 6 at 10:00 p.m. (ET/PT), exclusively on HBO. Taped before a sold-out audience at the Eventim Apollo in London, musical comedians Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement return to HBO to perform their classics and new original songs from their “Flight of the Conchords Sing Flight of the Conchords Tour.”

The comedy special is directed by Hamish Hamilton; executive producers are Jemaine Clement, Bret McKenzie and Mike Martinovich.

Also announced was Drew Michael’s first HBO special, which debuts on Saturday, August 25 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT). Jerrod Carmichael, who has starred in two specials of his own on the network, directs. The special will also be available on HBO On Demand, HBO NOW, HBO GO and partners’ streaming platforms.

Drew Michael navigates his fears, anxieties and insecurities in an unconventional stand-up setting. Michael’s darkly comic, stream-of-consciousness monologue raises questions of identity, narrative, self-awareness and the limits of the medium itself. Suki Waterhouse also appears in the special.

Drew Michael has written for Saturday Night Live and recorded a stand-up special for the cable series The Half Hour, as well as the stand-up albums Lovely and Funny to Death. Drew Michael is executive produced by Jerrod Carmichael, Drew Michael, Ravi Nandan and Chris Storer; produced by A24 Television.
