The Trailer for Bad Robot’s Overlord, Produced by J.J. Abrams

The horror movie opens in theaters on November 9

Paramount Pictures has debuted the first trailer for Overlord, which opens in theaters on November 9, 2018. The film is produced by J.J. Abrams, who previously clarified that it is not Cloverfield 4. Instead, Overlord is Bad Robot’s first R-rated movie and it looks to be pretty crazy.

On the eve of D-Day, a group of American paratroopers are dropped behind enemy lines to carry out a mission crucial to the invasion’s success. But as they approach their target, they begin to realize there is more going on in this Nazi-occupied village than a simple military operation.

Directed by Julius Avery (Son of a Gun), the film stars Jovan Adepo (The Leftovers),  Wyatt Russell (Everybody Wants Some!!), Jacob Anderson (Game of Thrones), Dominic Applewhite (The King’s Speech), Pilou Asbaek (Game of Thrones), Iain de Caestecker (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), John Magaro (The Big Short), Mathilde Ollivier (The Misfortunes of Francois Jane), and Bokeem Woodbine (Fargo).

The Bad Robot production is produced by J.J. Abrams and Lindsey Weber, and written by Billy Ray (Captain Phillips) and Mark L. Smith (The Revenant).

What do you think about the trailer? Are you going to watch the movie in November?
